Coach Ride
"I have to go water the horses," said Grandpa.
"Good horse!" said Leo as he patted the horse's nose.
PS Leo
After the Captain was arrested, Leo did some training to become a Paddle Steamer Captain.
He showed Nanna how to pump water.
He learnt how to put wood into the firebox.
Nanna took him on a short cruise in her paddle steamer.
He practised steering the boat.
Leo was so good that he was given his own paddle steamer.
"You little rip-snorter!" said Grandpa.
After a little party, Leo helped Grandpa off the boat.
Captain Leo
There was lots to see cruising slowly along the river.
Leo thought quietly to himself as boats went past.
He went to make sure that the Captain was doing a good job.
"I'm three sheets into the wind and I need to tame the dragon," said the Captain. "Can you take the wheel boy?"
"Oh my gosh!" said Leo.
Leo was a good paddle steamer captain.
Steam Engine
Leo had never seen a steam engine before. He told Nanna that it was hot and smelled funny.
He watched the engine driver put logs into the firebox.
He watched the engine rods go up and down and in and out.
It was very noisy too.
Paddle Steamers
Nanna and Grandpa took Leo to see the paddle steamers. Leo asked them if he could have a ride in one.
Grandpa said,"Are a frog's ears wet? Does Santa Claus have whiskers? Does a bear sh-"
"Of course you can!" said Nanna.

Leo saw all sorts of paddle steamers go past.

All of them blew lots of smoke.
All of them had paddles that splashed round and round.
Some were tied up to the wharf getting fixed.
Some had people on board going for a cruise just like Leo.

Long Bridge
Leo ran over lots of bridges on his Grand Adventure with Nanna and Grandpa.
Can you see Nanna and Leo on the bridge?
"That is a very long bridge!" said Leo.
"I'm going back to the caravan to have a BIG sleep," he explained to Nanna.
Holden Museum
Leo went to the Holden Car Museum.
He saw a panel van that looked just like Alex's.
Then Grandpa saw his favourite Holden.
Grandpa's first car was just like this one.
Nanna said that Grandpa is older than this car.
Grandpa can't be that old!
There were lions all over the place.
Leo liked this red and white lion the best.
Trampoline
Leo loves bouncing on the trampoline.
Grandpa showed Leo how to do a somersault.
After the ambulance took Grandpa to hospital, Leo went back to having fun on the trampoline.
Bubbles
After a good sleep Leo found his happy face.
"How about a bubble bath?" asked Nanna.
Leo thought that was a pretty good idea.
Grandpa stirred up heaps of bubbles.
Leo was covered in bubbles.
He stayed in the bubble bath until the water went cold.
Leo had a great time!
Wagons
When Leo walked down a street in Echuca he saw lots of wagons.
Grandpa helped him up and he had fun.
A flock of cockatoos flew over Leo.
They were so noisy.
Big Kelly
Grandpa got a fright when Leo yelled, "Big Kelly!"
Leo had seen the biggest Ned Kelly in the world.
Grandpa stopped the car so that they could have a look.
Leo looked and looked.

They went into a shop and it was full of Ned Kellys.
Nanna and Grandpa bought Leo a little Ned Kelly to keep.
They also bought a Ned Kelly t-shirt for Wyatt.
My Little Pony
Leo found his own little pony pal.
The little pony galloped down to the fence to have a close look at Leo.
He stamped his hoof to say hello.
Too Tired
Sometimes Leo got so tired he didn't know what to do. Being over tired can make Leo feel sad.
After a good sleep Leo found his happy face again.
Grandpa's Shout
Nanna and Grandpa took Leo to the Bright Brewery. Grandpa bought some little glasses of beer just for Leo.
Grandpa said,"Here Leo! Get these into you. They'll put hairs on your chest!"
But Grandpa was only joking.....
they didn't put any hairs on Leo's chest at all!
Window Dragon
Leo and Grandpa went for a walk around the shops in Bright.
They found a fairy shop.
A black dragon looked at Leo through the window.
Chinese Bridge
Leo, Nanna and Grandpa went for a walk along a creek.
They came to a swinging bridge across the creek.
It was a special bridge - a Chinese bridge.
It was built to remember the Chinese people who came to Australia to find gold.
Kelly Country
After another sausage roll at the Beechworth Bakery, Leo saw some armour just like Ned Kelly's.
Leo was not too sure about it.
Just down the road Leo saw a very big Ned Kelly.
Leo was getting used to Ned Kelly now.
Ned Kelly was popping up everywhere.
Super Playground
Leo and Grandpa found a super playground in Bright.
Leo went straight to the spider web and started climbing.
Leo loved bouncing on the pelican.
Bouncing up and down on the seesaw is fun too.

There was even a long bridge in the playground.
Leo loved running across it again and again.
Leo climbed up a high wall.
He was the King of the Castle!
Leo slid down the curly slippery dip.
There was a puddle and Leo got a wet bottom.
